Tim is a serial entrepreneur, investor, and philanthropist. He currently serves as the Co-founder, CEO and Chairman of the Board at Nitra, a fintech platform transforming how healthcare practices manage spend, credit, and growth. He is also the Founder and Managing Partner of Inauguration Capital, a venture studio and investment platform backing category-defining companies. Through Inauguration, Tim serves as Co-founder and Chairman of the Board at Jericho Security (AI-native cybersecurity), Vibranium Labs (AI-powered incident management), Amber (AI-driven automotive data and warranty platform), and Exponent (financial platform for franchise and QSR operators). Collectively, these companies have built cutting-edge products, scaled globally, and created significant shareholder value.
Previously, Tim founded FiscalNote (NYSE: NOTE), a global technology and media company that provides data, news, and analysis for governments and legal professionals. Under his leadership, FiscalNote raised $230M+, acquired CQ Roll Call from The Economist Group, and IPOed at a $1.3B valuation.
Prior to founding FiscalNote, Hwang started his career in politics in the Obama '08 campaign, assisting in the election of the first Obama Administration. He was elected to the Montgomery County Board of Education a year later, overseeing a budget of over $4 Billion for 22,000 public employees.
Tim was profiled in Forbes 30 Under 30, Inc. 30 Under 30, CNN's Top 10 Startups, Business Insider's Top 25 Hottest Startups, and many others. He was named Goldman Sachs Top 100 Most Intriguing Entrepreneurs as well as Entrepreneur of the Year for the Greater Washington, D.C. region by Ernst & Young.
He is a graduate of Princeton University and attended Harvard Business School. He is also currently a World Economic Forum Technology Pioneer, a Trustee on the Board of the Greater Washington Community Foundation (the largest funder of non-profit and philanthropic initiatives in the region), as well as a Board member of The After School Alliance. He is a member of The Economic Club of Washington, D.C., the Council of Korean Americans (CKA), and the Milken Institute's Young Leaders Council.
Epiphany Ryu serves as Manager of Government Business Operations at Applied Intuition, a provider of software and digital infrastructure for intelligent, autonomous systems. Her work focuses on building the cross-functional systems required to deploy physical AI across aerospace and defense. She operates at the intersection of finance, legal, growth, and engineering to drive execution, ensure compliance, and support long-range planning for mission-critical programs.
Previously, Epiphany was Chief Operating Officer of EpiSci, a defense technology startup specializing in trusted autonomy software for national security applications. During a period of rapid growth, she led strategy and operations, building the organizational backbone needed to move proprietary technology from research and development into deployment. She played a central role in EpiSci’s acquisition by Applied Intuition, managing due diligence, partnering closely with legal counsel, and supporting operational integration to maintain continuity through the transition.
Her experience spans high-growth technology and government contracting, with a focus on scaling organizations in complex, regulated environments. Epiphany was recognized as a Business Leader Under 40 by the San Diego Business Journal and holds a degree in Business Administration from the University of California, Berkeley.
