IMPACTs 2026 Application (Open xx.xx.2025)
Designed for scientists and engineers in industry, IMPACTs (Industry Meetup Program for Advancing Careers and Technical Skills) is a unique conference hosted by the Korean-American Scientists and Engineers Association (KSEA). Through interactive workshops, networking sessions, and mentorship opportunities, IMPACTs empowers participants to enhance their professional skill sets, cultivate leadership qualities, and become more effective advocates for their own career growth.
Korean Americans are widely recognized for their strong performance, technical expertise, and commendable work ethic. However, hard work alone does not always guarantee upward mobility into leadership positions. Recognizing this gap, IMPACTs equips participants with the tools to master soft skills, build personal brands, and navigate career advancement more strategically.
Approximately 200 professional mentors from industry and students aspiring to enter the industry will attend, creating a dynamic environment for knowledge exchange and collaboration.
IMPACTs is hosted by KSEA, a 501c(3) nonprofit organization established in 1971 that represents Korean-American scientists, engineers, and entrepreneurs across the United States.
In today’s fast-paced, hybrid, and cross-functional work environments, the ability to connect meaningfully and communicate effectively is more critical than ever. IMPACTs 2026 embraces this reality with the theme “Empowering Connections: Navigating Modern Team Dynamics.” This year’s conference will explore the evolving landscape of interpersonal and soft skills—equipping professionals with the tools to collaborate across disciplines, bridge communication gaps, and foster inclusive, high-performing teams. Whether you're a seasoned leader or an emerging contributor, this event will help you sharpen the human skills that drive innovation and cohesion in modern organizations.
The conference will feature a dynamic mix of interactive programming designed to engage and inspire. Attendees can participate in hands-on workshops, roundtable discussions, and breakout sessions focusing on conflict resolution, active listening, and translating technical jargon for non-technical audiences. These sessions are designed to be practical, reflective, and immediately applicable to real-world team challenges.
Anchoring the event will be a lineup of keynote and plenary speakers—leaders, innovators, and change-makers who have navigated complex team dynamics in high-stakes environments. Through personal stories and hard-earned insights, they’ll share how they’ve built bridges across silos, led with empathy, and cultivated cultures of collaboration. Their experiences will serve as both inspiration and a roadmap for attendees seeking to elevate their own interpersonal impact.
